The Coding-Agent Mega-Round Era
Cursor, Cognition, Lovable, Replit, and Devin closed the seven months that re-priced an entire stack layer. The numbers, in one place, and what they imply for what gets built on top.

Operator ledger
A chronological feed of operator-launched products. Twelve entries in rotation, refreshed Sunday with the weekly digest.
Halberg Co. — Inbox Triage agent — Mira Halberg
An agentic triage layer that opens the operator's inbox already having drafted the day's first three replies. Shipped to all paying tenants on the standard tier.
Rao Code Reviews — written-rationale mode — Devanshu Rao
Pull-request reviews now ship as a structured written argument with the call-graph evidence inlined. The pass-fail score is no longer the headline.
Helix Labs — versioned memory release 0.9 — The Helix Labs team
First public release of versioned, inspectable agent memory. The release notes are deliberately dry and run to nineteen pages.
Drysdale Tools — refactor brief — Tom Drysdale
The agent now produces a written argument for a proposed refactor before any code is touched. Drysdale's framing: the agent's job is to argue, not to act.
Chen Research — corpus-locked agents — Augusta Chen
Research agents can now be locked to a defined corpus by reference, with provenance tracking on every claim the agent emits.
Yoke Systems — cost-ceiling controls — Renée Okafor
Operators can now set a hard daily ceiling on aggregate model spend across all routed providers. Above the ceiling, the platform degrades gracefully rather than failing closed.
Bensaid Routes — exception handler — Yusuf Bensaid
A new agent that picks up only the routing exceptions a human operator would otherwise be paged for, and handles them inline. Available in beta to the existing customer base.
Carbide — framework v3.2 — The Carbide collective
Minor release. Adds a small but consequential interface for declaring agent retries as a first-class concept. Release notes by a rotating spokesperson.
Ruiz Strategy — one-page brief format — Paloma Ruiz
Weekly competitive briefs now ship in a single-page format with two paragraphs and one chart. The longer format is available on request and is, by Ruiz's framing, almost never requested.
Cottage AI — pricing simplification — Tova Eberhardt
The studio now ships engagements at one of three fixed sizes. Custom-pricing engagements have been retired without ceremony.
Northwood Stack — release 1.7 — Northwood Stack maintainers
Tightens the retry interface, adds two new transport adapters, and ships a long-promised change to the cancellation semantics. Release notes by Lena Asgeirs, as usual.
Helix Labs — read-only memory inspector — The Helix Labs team
An inspector surface for the versioned memory release. The framing is deliberate: the operator should be able to read what the agent remembered, not just trust that something is there.
Founder coverage
Feature
The credentials nobody talks about have, over the past three years, become a quiet marker for the operator-class founder. A look at who is collecting them and why.
Feature
Four founders carrying a second, equally serious creative practice — and why the doubling is a real category, not a side note.
From the desk
Opinion
A small but growing class of operator-grade services companies has stopped pricing on hours and started pricing on outcomes. The convergence is the most consequential pricing shift in the services economy in a decade.
Opinion
An opinion essay on what an operator-class founder should obsess over now that the marginal cost of an additional employee has changed shape.
Essay
A reported essay on what we are calling the star-founder pattern, and why we think it is the most underrated structural shift in the founder economy of 2026.
Landscape, comparative, regional
Landscape
A landscape view of the operators shipping the infrastructure that most of the AI industry is still arguing about.
Comparative
Two of the most public coding-agent products in market, held against the same operator-shaped questions. A working comparison built from the vendors' own documentation, not from the marketing copy.
Landscape
Five founders who took their companies past the typical Series A inflection point without taking the round — and what their refusals say about where the founder economy is going.
List
A working list of the operators shipping real agentic and AI work before twenty-five, ordered by depth of in-market output rather than by the loudest pitch deck.
Analysis
The 2025 transition from a flat unlimited tier to a tiered usage-based plan told the rest of the coding-agent category what the price of leverage actually is.
Regional
A long-stay visa, a January summit, and a small but real local AI stack are converting Chiang Mai from a digital-nomad waystation into a founder cluster with a stable supply of senior operators.
Regional
Three operators, one city, and the quiet emergence of a Southeast Asian alternative to the San Francisco monoculture.
